In August 2004, Allen Hancock moved back to Baton Rouge. Since then, business has grown, and is now opening a true storefront off Goodwood and Tara.. I have always considered your billing/quotes etc. fair and I attempt to make
sure payments to you are always timely. By comparison with other consultants,
I have found your work and advice to always be on point. When our firm pushed
to move away from Apple and your work as a consultant, I objected. I won.
Even when they considered moving to Win servers, I recommended that we use
you for installation and maintenance. I look forward to having you around
in the future for more improvements/tweeks in our system.

I have been a Mac user since their first machine hit the stands, as I've also been a Apple stockholder since they started.
We ALL know how easy it is to get advice on PC's BUT to get GOOD, HONEST and
CORRECT advice and help in the "Mac World" is extremely difficult!!
Allen has been a God send to my business and has saved me, our equipment and a LOT of downtime with his expert and professional Mac attitude.
Believe me.....in over 25 years I've tried others....and there is NO comparison! Use Allen Hancock for ALL your Mac requirements and you will be much better off in the longrun.
No...He's NOT a family member....(we'll take him anytime)but we feel that strongly about his business and he will solve most any problem.

Noticed a lot of your postings are from Baton Rouge, where I was raised and told about you. But having our own business in Arkansas for over 30 years when I had a Laptop damaged, Allen has been one of the "few" who gave me honest, well derived answers!
I will be counting on him in the future, plus since I am close to Memphis sending him as much business with Apple's as I can. In this days marketplace it's hard to find a "true" professional. Thanks!!

We, at the Center for Landscape Interpretation, became acquainted with Allen Hancock from the date of purchase of our first Macintosh computer in 1997. Since then we have had occasion to work with Allen on a number of issues related to our office computer systems, including especially the PowerMac 9600/300, the PowerBook G3 400 M / 4G, several monitors, printers, scanner, Mac to PC hookup and an array of devices and software products.
In our client-consultant relationship, Allen has made a special effort to understand and appreciate our business practices and anticipate our professional needs. He has been effective in helping us identify and solve a variety of problems, exploit opportunities and create and enhance values, all within the framework of extending and enhancing our computer capabilities, especially in support of multimedia initiatives.
As a computer consultant, Allen has advised on the purchase of hardware and software; installed and taught some of the basic and finer points related to operating systems and applications programs; demonstrated numerous tricks and shortcuts; and provided dozens of helpful suggestions. Beyond the performance of on-site services, he has researched specific products and problems and reported the results to us in a timely manor. Most recently, at our request, he recommended, acquired, installed and tested a large format scanner with special features.
Allen has excellent communications skills. He has always made a special effort to make complex operations understandable to us as clients with limited technical backgrounds, including a willingness to list, in order, the steps in an operation not always found in manuals. He has been especially patient in listening to a problem description when we are at a loss in using the precise terminology.
Although extremely busy in his practice, Allen is very accommodating in squeezing in emergency visits to our office or even home. And he is readily accessible by cell phone, even on weekends, so we discovered, when we called from Kansas for help with an unusual situation prior to a major presentation.
Allen possesses a wealth of experience for a man of his years. He is very knowledgeable, highly efficient and technically competent. He is totally reliable. He is a thoroughgoing professional in every respect.
He leaves behind a fine reputation as he and his Veterinarian wife, Wendy, move on to Memphis where he will open a new office for Hancock Consulting. We count ourselves fortunate to have had his assistance over the past few years and we will miss both his expertise and his quiet confidence. Wisely, we believe, he will continue his presence in Baton Rouge, entrusting his consulting practice there to an associate, Helen Baxter. We rest assured that she will sustain the fine tradition of service on which we have come to rely.
In all their endeavors, we wish Allen and Wendy continued success and a lifetime of happiness.

I am sorry to hear that you will be leaving Baton Rouge. I know you will be GREATLY missed.
In case you do not know, I have moved to Houston and am loving it. Luckily, I haven't had any technical problems since I have been here, but it was comforting to know you were only an email away. I guess you will still be within email reach and I will definitely use it should the need arise. Also, if I need to order anything online, I will go through your site to do so.
I am sure you are leaving your other clients in good hands with Helen. I don't know of her, but she must be very competent to attempt filling your shoes.
