I was invited into Atom Engineering with a simple challenge: “Help us grow revenue and create scale.”
What I found was a small team doing good work, but relying almost entirely on hope. Hope that Google would send them clients. Hope that referrals would keep coming. Hope that the business would somehow grow without changing how it operated.
They didn’t need a fancy growth strategy. They needed to ask hard questions — and listen to the answers.
We stripped away low-return services, formalized the project process, clarified roles, and started tracking what clients actually valued. It wasn’t about doing more. It was about doing better with what they already had.
I still remember a partner saying, “You’re just too easy to do business with.”
That’s the result of good process, engaged people, and deliberate choices — not heroics.
